    Tax Efficiency
    An International Trading Company - ITC is in fact a taxable resident in Malta and will, therefore, incur Malta income tax at the normal rate of 35%. The advantage arises at shareholder's level for non-residents, when they end up paying tax at 4.17%. The tax refunds would be made in favour of the shareholder/s of the Malta Company and not the Malta Company itself and tax refunds are affected in a short prescribed time limit.

    • Betting Licence
    The Maltese Government has introduced regulations amending the Public Lotto Ordinance to regulate online Betting centres. By doing so it has encouraged International Names to reallocate their existing business and entrepreneurs to start their new ventures on the Maltese Islands. Presently over twenty companies have been granted a licence to operate as Betting Companies.

    Today operators can either establish processing operations with back office activities and while no licence is required, the company can still benefit from the ITC corporate vehicle. Alternatively, a Betting company can decide to establish a call centre to receive bets together with a processing operation and while it will still benefit from the ITC corporate vehicle, the Gaming Board will subject it to a licence.
